UPLAND, Calif. - Californer -- Joe Gresh and Joe Berk of the ExhaustNotes.us website announced today the publication of their newest book, A Cup O' Joes: The Motoliterature Café, with a Foreword by award-winning author Jack Lewis.
Gresh wrote the "Cranked" column for Motorcyclist when it was a print publication. Berk is a regular contributor to Motorcycle Classics magazine. A Cup O' Joes is a collection of articles and stories from the ExhaustNotes.us blog (published by Berk and Gresh), Motorcycle Classics magazine, Rider magazine, Motorcyclist magazine, ADVMoto magazine, and other publications in which the two writers' work has appeared. A Cup O' Joes includes a collection of their favorite articles and stories covering motorcycle journeys through China, Colombia, Mexico, New Zealand, Canada, the former Soviet Union, and the United States.
Gresh and Berk have been called the elder statesmen of the motorjournalist world. Berk wrote the CSC Motorcycles blog before his retirement, and he led a team of riders on Mustang replicas (single-cylinder 150cc motorcycles) the length of Baja and back. Gresh and Berk led the 5,000-mile Western America Adventure Ride from Azusa, to Sturgis, back across the US to Portland, and then down the US West coast, which showcased Chinese manufacturer Zongshen's RX3 reliability (15 riders from the US, China, and Colombia rode with the two Joes on this ride). Berk and Gresh later rode motorcycles on a 6000-mile journey across China. Berk circumnavigated the Andes Mountains in Colombia on an AKT motorcycle. Gresh and Berk rode and compared Royal Enfields (the 650 Interceptor twin and the 500cc Bullet single) through Baja prior to the new Enfield 650 Interceptor's release. Berk and Gresh have led numerous motorcycle expeditions through Baja and elsewhere featuring Janus, Zongshen, Enfield, Indian, Harley-Davidson, and other motorcycles. A Cup O' Joes includes selected Gresh and Berk articles on the above, as well as opinion, humor, how to, and product review pieces on motorcycles, accessories, and other motorcycle topics.
