POMONA, Calif. - Californer -- IEI Technology USA Corp. today announced that its iVEC (IEI Virtualization Edge Computer) platform has enabled manufacturers to deploy automated mobile robot (AMR) management systems more efficiently, reducing both upfront costs and operational complexity.
Traditionally, deploying an AMR management system required a commercial rackmount server, a dedicated server room, and costly backup software. These requirements increased installation and maintenance expenses, creating barriers for manufacturers prioritizing durability and cost efficiency.
To address these challenges, the customer adopted IEI's iVEC all-in-one edge computing platform. Virtualization enabled agile system management, while built-in backup and restore capabilities improved system resilience. A web-based management interface allowed IT teams and vendors to perform rapid on-site support and deployment, streamlining remote operations and maintenance workflows.
