LOS ANGELES, CA -- August 2, 2025 -- Impact LA, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering underserved families through food security, education, and community connection, is excited to announce its 6th Annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway on Friday, August 2, 2025, at Barack Obama Charter School, part of the Ingenium Schools network, in South Los Angeles.
The event will be hosted by Romeo of the 93.5 KDAY Morning Show and will serve over 1,000 local youth with free backpacks, school supplies, haricuts, meals, kids' activities, and access to critical community resources.
"We're grateful to have our community organizations and leaders supporting this event -- it's about more than school supplies, it's about reminding kids that their community believes in them," said Courtney Lockridge, Executive Director of Impact LA
