New text ~ Databricks, a leading Data and AI company, has joined forces with Shutterstock, Inc., a global creative platform, to introduce Shutterstock ImageAI, Powered by Databricks. This innovative text-to-image Generative AI model is specifically designed for enterprise use and has been built using the advanced capabilities of Databricks Mosaic AI. The model has been exclusively trained on Shutterstock's world-class image repository, ensuring high-quality and trusted images that are tailored to meet specific business needs.
Traditionally, organizations have had limited options when it comes to obtaining high-quality images for their collateral, websites, applications or campaigns. They either had to search through a repository of licensable assets or embark on a production effort. With the rise of AI-generated images, companies now have another option. However, these models are often trained on data that may not meet enterprise standards like Shutterstock's data does. Additionally, they may not be integrated into enterprise applications, lacking the necessary data governance and observability that corporations require.
Shutterstock ImageAI addresses these challenges by enabling companies to use AI to quickly and confidently create new high-resolution images that are commercially viable. This is made possible because the model was trained entirely on Shutterstock's trusted collection of curated images. The high-quality image generation model was built on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform with Mosaic AI tooling. Leveraging the security, reliability and speed of Mosaic AI Model Training, Shutterstock and Databricks were able to pre-train ImageAI from scratch in just weeks. Furthermore, Databricks customers can easily integrate ImageAI with their existing enterprise-wide data governance policies using Mosaic AI Model Serving.

In the future, they can fine-tune the model with their corporate brand identity using Databricks Mosaic AI Model Training. Additionally, ImageAI is available in Databricks, allowing enterprises to integrate it as an API call into their applications while benefiting from automatic governance and monitoring.
