The Californer/10354034

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Calif. - Californer -- Grooming visits can be stressful for many pets, but pet owners need not fear when they book AristoPup Grooming and they request Katlin Molina in Coachella Valley. That's because she is part of an impactful initiative known as Fear Free, which is designed to ease the fear, anxiety, and stress so many pets experience while being groomed.

Fear Free's groomer certification program teaches groomers how to utilize positive training methods to ensure that the grooming experience is as enjoyable as possible for every pet, every time.

"Fear Free helps to understand the animal's behaviors and know when to stop to reduce the stress and anxiety of the grooming process" - Katlin

Founded by Dr. Marty Becker "Providing pet professionals with the tools they need to ease this burden of fear and anxiety for pets is the pinnacle of my decades-long veterinary career," said Dr. Becker, who was dubbed "America's Veterinarian" and appeared on Good Morning America for 17 years.

To become certified, groomers are required to complete a comprehensive educational course and exam. They also have to take continuing education to remain certified.

"Being mobile outside of the corporate environment I am able to take it slower and use the Fear Free techniques to know when to stop the groom process if the animal becomes stressed or anxious and since we are one-on-one with the animal it's easy to recognize issues and adjust to the needs of the animal"  - Katlin

Pet owners who would like their pets to experience the Fear Free difference can schedule an appointment by calling 760-567-8821.
