LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14, 2025 ~ Marketing Maven, an award-winning public relations firm with offices on both coasts, has recently announced that it has been selected as the agency of record for LISC LA. LISC LA is one of 37 offices of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting community development in cities and rural areas across the United States.
As a CDFI, or Community Development Financial Institution, LISC works to expand economic opportunities in low-income communities by providing access to financial products and services. With the help of residents and partners, LISC strives to create resilient communities that offer opportunities for individuals and families to live, work, visit, do business, and raise their families.
Marketing Maven's role as agency of record for LISC LA will involve managing media relations, developing contact strategies and support, overseeing weekly social media management, coordinating quarterly events, and producing annual reports. This partnership aims to assist LISC LA in achieving its goal of making Los Angeles a more resilient community through initiatives such as affordable housing, economic development, health and recreation programs, capacity building efforts, and strategic planning.

LISC LA receives funding from various sources including banks, corporations, foundations, and government agencies. These funds are then invested in collaboration with community organizations, private developers, local government agencies and schools to support affordable housing projects, small businesses, economic development initiatives, health programs, education efforts,and community safety measures. This comprehensive approach has allowed LISC LA to invest nearly $1.6 billion in various projects throughout Los Angeles over the past 36 years.
Leading the LISC LA office is Executive Director Nicole Williams who has been instrumental in spearheading the organization's efforts to improve communities across Los Angeles. Williams expressed her excitement about working with Marketing Maven stating that their partnership will help extend their digital presence and bring more attention to their important work.
