Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach Airport's highly anticipated annual Festival of Flight is set to return on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The event, which has become a beloved tradition in the community, is expected to draw thousands of aviation enthusiasts from the local area.
According to Mayor Rex Richardson, the Festival of Flight offers a unique experience for attendees as they have the opportunity to get up close and personal with various aircraft on display. "Walking the airfield and seeing these planes up close is an experience like no other," said Mayor Richardson. "Festival of Flight captures the energy of our historic airport and the community spirit that makes Long Beach unique."
The free event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the west end of the airfield, is open to people of all ages. This year's festivities will include static aircraft displays, children's activities, food and beer trucks, and live performances by AbSOULute, DJ Dennis and the Satin Dollz.
Sponsored by the Port of Long Beach, this year's lineup of aircraft is expected to feature some impressive additions such as the C-53 "D-Day Doll," which played a significant role in both D-Day invasion and Operation Market Garden in Holland. Other notable aircraft include a KC-46 Pegasus military refueling plane and VX-31 Search and Rescue "Dust Devils" helicopter crew from the U.S. Navy.
