LONG BEACH, Calif. - Californer -- The California-based soul food restaurant "Georgia's Restaurant" has served guests an eclectic array of comfort foods since its inception in 2014. The brand, having expanded from Anaheim Packing District to Long Beach Exchange Complex in 2019, is all set to mark its two-year anniversary Sunday July 18th, 2021, 2 PM - 7 PM and is inviting the community to join in the festivities.

Family recipes passed down through generations are mixed with a little twist to reinvent soul food the people of Long Beach know, and love and it is not just the food people love about Georgia's. The beloved chef and owner Gretchen Shoemaker, lovingly dubbed "Nana," a driven woman who has a heart for people, infuses a little bit of Southern hospitality into every plate of food Georgia's Restaurant serves and her warm smile keeps visitors coming back for more.
This year, Georgia's Restaurant is doing something a little different to celebrate its two-year anniversary by announcing "Nana's Special Candied Yams." The mouth-watering candied yams give a whole new meaning to comfort food and allows Georgia's to introduce one of Nana's most-requested side dishes.
