Innovative program offers justice-impacted, foster youth, unhoused, and low-income individuals the opportunity to build careers in the booming AI-driven animation industry.
LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Made In South LA (MISLA), a pioneering social impact organization dedicated to empowering underserved communities through the latest advancements in technology, proudly announces the launch of its 'Animate Our World' AI Animation Bootcamp. Open to all individuals, this 12-week intensive program especially encourages applications from the justice-impacted, foster youth, unhoused (experiencing homelessness), and low-income participants. The bootcamp offers the chance for these individuals to step into the future of digital storytelling and animation through innovative AI technology. The program, set to begin in October and is powered by key partners, including the SoLa Foundation, Codega Media, and Hawke Media, and will take place at the SoLa Tech & Entrepreneurship Center, the premier tech hub in South Los Angeles, with online components for broader accessibility.
The bootcamp is designed to equip participants with industry-relevant animation skills, including hands-on training from professionals in animation and AI. By the end of the program, students will have completed a portfolio and will debut their projects at a final showcase, where they can connect with potential employers and industry leaders. Enrollment is limited to ensure personalized learning, and interested individuals are encouraged to apply early.
