TEMECULA, Calif. - Californer -- Melospeech Inc., a Woman-owned provider of speech therapy, occupational therapy, and early childhood education services, has been awarded an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) contract with the California San Diego Regional Center. AAC refers to tools and strategies — such as picture boards and speech-generating devices — that give a voice to individuals who cannot yet speak or need support communicating, helping them express their needs, build relationships, and participate in everyday life. The San Diego Regional Center, a nonprofit, has served individuals with developmental disabilities and their families across San Diego and Imperial Counties since 1969, currently supporting more than 48,000 people through a staff of 1,000 and an annual budget of $1.2 billion. The contract further extends Melospeech's reach across San Diego county, where the company serves children with developmental delays and disabilities through in-home, community-based, and virtual care.
