LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Fostering Media Connections (FMC) – a national nonprofit news organization focused on children, youth and families – is excited to announce the addition of Simone Maxwell-Wilson to the team.
Maxwell-Wilson will be charged with building relationships and maximizing revenue from FMC's key publications: The Chronicle of Social Change and Fostering Families Today.
Based in Florida, Maxwell-Wilson will work closely with government and private agencies to provide these resources to employees, foster families, advocates and other key stakeholders. She is well qualified for her new role.
"I am excited to join Fostering Media Connections because I have an intrinsic passion for child welfare. My interest was heightened 10 years ago when I decided to volunteer with a local foster care agency as a tutor," Maxwell-Wilson said.
"Most importantly, it is great to work with a company so focused on helping others and bringing awareness to critical issues," she said.

While she's currently pursuing a doctorate in organizational leadership, Maxwell-Wilson also earned masters degrees in business administration and higher education. Her passions include teaching, traveling, training and helping others.
"I am absolutely thrilled to have Simone join our team," said FMC President Daniel Heimpel. "Simone understands the unique needs of the foster families and child welfare professionals we serve. We are looking forward to the connections she forges."
