SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Netberg announced the new Aurora 721 100G and Aurora 421 10G switches, which feature programmable pipelines powered by Broadcom StrataXGS® Trident3 Ethernet switch chips.
The Aurora 421 is a multirole 10G switch with 48x 10G SFP+ and 6x 100G QSFP28 ports. Its heart is Broadcom® StrataXGS® Trident3-X5 BCM56771 silicon, which brings bandwidth, network intelligence, and programmability to the 10G world.
The Aurora 721 is a 100GbE universal switch with 32x 100G QSFP28 ports and Broadcoam® StrataXGS® Trident3-X7 BCM56870 silicon. It offers novel overlays, instrumentation and telemetry, and pipeline programmability.

Both systems are meticulously engineered with high availability in mind. Dual power-sharing redundant PSUs and N+1 cooling fans in a compact 1U form factor meet the demands of modern data centers, CSPs, enterprises, and telecom operators.
The StrataXGS® Trident3 family supports new overlays and tunneling such as GENEVE, NSH, VXLAN, GPE, MPLS, MPLS over GRE/UDP, GUE, ILA, and PPPoE, new instrumental features bring intelligence to the network and push service capacity to the next level. Its programmability can be used to add advanced load balancing, enhanced security, network intelligence, new software-defined forwarding, and database reconfiguration delivering capabilities.
The new models are part of the end-to-end common Trident 3 (TD3) architecture that scales from wiring closet units to campus cores, bringing feature and software programming consistency that translates into reduced development costs and quick time-to-market. Its programmable pipeline allows new features to be added after deployment through in-field upgrades, protecting operators' capex investment.
