According to the survey, 77% of veterans believe that video games have had a positive influence on their lives.

The survey, conducted by YouGov from January 14-27, 2025, aimed to understand the role and impact of video games in the lives of U.S. veterans. It included a sample size of 1,096 veteran video gamers and 508 non-veteran video gamers between the ages of 22-50.

One of the key findings of the survey was that playing video games provides a healthy outlet for stress and anxiety for veterans. In fact, 86% of respondents stated that playing video games helps them cope with difficult times. Additionally, 81% said that it offers a valuable means of staying connected with others and 74% believe that video game communities have a positive impact on their mental and emotional well-being.
