Movie Matchmaker uses GPT to help users find great movies based on their mood — no accounts, no ads, just real recommendations.
SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Tired of endlessly scrolling through streaming platforms only to rewatch something you've already seen? The creators of Slept-On Cinema, a podcast dedicated to overlooked films, just launched a free AI-powered tool to fix that.
It's called Movie Matchmaker, and it gives movie recommendations based on a user's taste, mood, and preferences — not what's trending. The tool is powered by GPT and asks a few quick questions before serving up a personalized movie suggestion. It also tells you where to stream it — including free options.
"We built this because we miss the feeling of walking into a video store and asking the clerk what to watch," said Bobby Morong, co-creator and co-host of Slept-On Cinema.
