Integrated station alerting supports modernization today and future CAD/IP integration for Oregon firefighters
SAN DIEGO - Californer -- RadioMobile announced that it has deployed IQ Fire Station Alerting System, IQ FSAS, at Pleasant Hill Goshen Fire & Rescue's newly constructed Fire Station 502 in Pleasant Hill, Oregon.
The department needed a modern fire station alerting platform that supports traditional over-the-air two-tone signaling while also providing a path to future IP and CAD integration. Additional requirements included relay activation for disabling an electric stove and gas barbecue as well as dispatch automation workflows.
RadioMobile installed its IQ FSAS Station Control Unit (SCU), Command Desk Terminal (CDT), emergency alert buttons, doorbells, and CDT software that provides system function and control. RadioMobile also provided engineering, integration, and installation services for both RadioMobile and third party-provided devices such as radio with two-tone interface, speakers, volume controls, and appliance controller.

Key features of the new system include synchronized station‑wide alerts and gradual, ramped "heart‑saver" alerting. These capabilities work together to deliver calmer, more controlled wake‑ups, eliminate missed or delayed tones, automate critical station functions, and provide earlier, clearer information to crews. The result is a faster, more consistent turnout experience that strengthens responder safety and elevates overall operational performance.
"Every second we save getting out the door matters—not just for the people calling 9-1-1, but for the long-term health of our firefighters," said Fire Chief Andrew Smith. "With IQ FSAS, our crews wake to calmer, clearer alerts while our station activates instantly. We're seeing the kind of turnout consistency that keeps responders safer on every call."
IQ FSAS provides synchronized, station-wide notifications so crews receive timely, actionable dispatch information throughout the facility. Its modular design allows agencies like Pleasant Hill Goshen Fire & Rescue scale as operational needs and technology requirements evolve, improving turnout consistency and responder safety without requiring major infrastructure overhauls.
