Hafen is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, California Board of Legal Specialization. She is a partner of the firm's Private Client Services and General Federal Tax practice groups. Hafen's practice is concentrated in tax, trust, and estate matters with emphasis in estate planning, trust and probate administration, and estate and gift taxation.

In 2020, Hafen relocated to lead the opening of the firm's newest location in San Diego, which expanded Snell & Wilmer's presence in California. She maintains an ongoing presence in both Orange County and Los Angeles and continues to serve clients and communities throughout Southern California.

Recently, the San Diego Business Journal named Hafen as a 2020 Next Top 40 Under 40 Winner, and a Finalist for their 2020 Leaders in Law and Business Women of the Year Awards 2020. In 2019 she was selected by the American Bar Association as an On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers Honoree. She has been named as a Southern California Super Lawyers, Rising Star since 2018. Hafen is a co-founder of Snell & Wilmer's first podcast, CalCurrent (https://www.swlaw.com/media/podcasts/channel/calcurrent). This weekly podcast is a go-to resource to help listeners navigate the California legal landscape.
