The Housing Department is seeking a consultant(s) to assist with conducting a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) assessment of the department organization. This assessment will include:
Based on experience and the proposed approach, an organization may be awarded individual phases of the project, or all phases. Proposals must address one or more of the four project objectives listed above, and must provide information concerning the qualifications of any proposed partners. The City plans to award 1-3 contracts.

The RFP is available on the City's Biddingo portal. This RFP will close at midnight on August 19, 2021. Respondents are encouraged to submit questions via email to Mark Gerhardt at mark.gerhardt@sanjoseca.gov.
- The development of a new mission statement and policy affirming the priority of racial equity;
- Providing results-based accountability and root cause analysis training;
- Facilitating the development of the department's first racial equity action plan; and
- Providing coaching or consulting hours to advise on racial equity for department projects.
