The breakfast brings the spiritual communities of all faiths together to celebrate fellowship and prayer.
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Californer -- The Southeast Ventura County YMCA is hosting its 25th Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast, Thursday, May 2 at CLU's Gilbert Sports Center in Thousand Oaks. The breakfast brings the spiritual communities of all faiths together to celebrate fellowship and prayer. The theme this year is "Pray For Peace."
Speakers include Vanessa Bechtel, president and CEO of the Ventura County Community Foundation, Kenny Ellis, Canter at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks, Jeremy Paris, chief of the Thousand Oaks Police Department, Muhammed Mehtar, Imam of the Islamic Center of the Conejo Valley, Mickey Taylor, Thousand Oaks councilmember and Steve Ramos, spiritual leader. Mary Olson, KCLU general manager, is the emcee. Other speakers and spiritual community leaders will take part in invocations and prayers. The Cal Lutheran Quartet and flute player Jim Walker will be performing.

The prayer breakfast is from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Individual tickets are $25 per person. Sponsorships are available at $350, $500, $750 and $1,000 and include breakfast tickets, and recognition at the event, in the printed program and on social media.
