HOLLYWOOD, Calif., June 13, 2024 ~ Los Angeles, California - The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) has announced that veteran Supervising Location Manager Sue Quinn will be receiving the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Annual LMGI Awards on Saturday, August 24, 2024. The event will take place in Los Angeles and will honor Quinn for her outstanding contributions to the film and television industry.
Quinn is best known for her exceptional work on blockbuster films such as "Fantastic Beasts," "Harry Potter," and "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchises. With over three decades of experience in the world of Location Management, she has been a key figure in seamlessly integrating real-life locations with the magical world of these beloved films.
John Rakich, President of LMGI, expressed his admiration for Quinn's work, stating that her "boundless passion and dedication have left an indelible mark on our industry as a true master of her craft." He also added that honoring her with this year's Lifetime Achievement Award not only celebrates her incredible career but also recognizes the lasting inspiration she has given to the industry globally.

Quinn's impressive list of credits includes almost 40 films, including "Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them" 1, 2, 3, "Notting Hill," "Gambit," "Love Actually," and "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." She has also received recognition for her work on "Edge of Tomorrow," which was the first production to gain permission to land a helicopter in London's Trafalgar Square.
Her creative eye has taken her all over the world, scouting unique locations in countries such as China, Brazil, Vietnam, Thailand, Portugal, France, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Barbados. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned filmmakers such as David Yates, Mark Mylod, Robert Altman, Woody Allen,and Guy Ritchie.
The LMGI Awards, now in its 11th year, celebrates the creative visual contributions of location professionals in film, television, and commercials from around the globe. The event presents awards in various categories, including Contemporary Film, Period Film, Contemporary TV, Period TV, TV Serial Program/Anthology/Limited Series, Commercials and Film Commissions. The recipients of the Trailblazer, Humanitarian and Eva Monley Awards will be announced soon.
