FULLERTON, Calif. - Californer -- Fullerton-based Thakur Law Firm, APC is proud to announce its Founder and Managing Attorney, Pamela Tahim Thakur, has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer for the second year in a row.
Thakur was listed among Super Lawyers® top attorneys for litigation in both 2021 and 2020. Additionally, she appeared consistently on the group's "Rising Star" list between 2016 and 2020.
"It's been a great honor to be selected as one of Southern California's top litigation attorneys two years in a row," Thakur said. "Our firm has been recognized by Super Lawyers every year since our founding, and we intend to continue holding ourselves to that exceptional standard going forward."
Thakur received her JD and LLM in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law, and she speaks Spanish, Hindi and Punjabi, allowing her to represent a diverse range of clients from various communities and cultures. After she completed her legal studies, Thakur practiced for nine years at a prominent Southern California law firm distinguishing herself as legal counsel in the first-ever binding federal jury trial arbitration in California, co-chair of the firm's Healthcare Law practice, and serving as second chair in the largest ever jury trial victory in a misappropriation of trade secrets case.
More on The Californer
In 2016, Thakur launched her own firm headquartered in Fullerton with a branch office in Northern California. She maintains a strong Healthcare Law practice, with the firm having the distinction of being the preferred legal counsel for the physicians and medical practices of the Riverside County Medical Association and San Bernardino Medical Society, but Thakur has branched out into areas of complex business and employment litigation and advising small business and non-profits on the constantly-changing landscape of employment laws. Thakur also serves as outside General Counsel for the charitable, non-profit Community Action Partnership of Orange County, better known as the Food Bank of Orange County.
In just its first five years, Thakur Law Firm has accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments, with its representation of former UCLA Bruins' football players in matters against the Regents and the NCAA involving concussions and other serious injuries being featured on the front pages of the New York Times, Washington Post and Los Angeles Times, serving as class counsel in a complex wage and hour class action for a thousand private school teachers and classroom aids.
