Thiel College was ranked as the top school in western Pennsylvania overall according to US News and World Report Best Colleges rankings.
GREENVILLE, Pa. - Californer -- Thiel College was ranked as the top school in western Pennsylvania overall and recognized for the social mobility of its graduates among the Regional Colleges in the North in the 37th edition of US News and World Report Best Colleges rankings, released today.
Overall, Thiel College (https://www.thiel.edu/) rose to a tie for 18th among North Regional Colleges. Furthermore, in the north region, Thiel College was fifth among colleges ranked for the social mobility of its graduates. Thiel College was chosen as a top social mobility college due to the successful post-graduate outcomes of Thiel College students who receive federal Pell Grants.
"Thiel College is an institution committed to creating the leaders the world needs now. Those leaders need to come from a diverse population. Back to its founding in 1866 as a co-educational college, Thiel has been a place of opportunity that puts our graduates in a place to reach their full potential and become a leader whether it's in the boardroom, the emergency room, the classroom or the meeting room," Thiel College President Susan Traverso, PhD said. "The addition of graduate programing and the strength of the last two recruiting classes have elevated the academic profile of our students."

The College has added graduate programs in business administration, clinical mental health counseling, communication and leadership, physician assistant studies and speech-language pathology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in nursing in the last three years. Thiel College is dedicated to providing access to high-quality undergraduate and graduate education that develops students for careers and lives of meaning and purpose.
According to the US News and World Report data, economically disadvantaged students are less likely than others to finish college, even when controlling for other characteristics. Along with standard academic and social activities, the College has mentorship, peer counseling and first-year experience programs in place which have benefited all students.
