The University of Saint Katherine is one of only 22 institutions that earned the coveted "A" ranking. It is the third consecutive "A" ranking of USK. Moreover, the University is one of six institutions that met all of ACTA's curricular criteria.
SAN MARCOS, Calif. - Californer -- The American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA) is an independent, non-profit organization committed to academic freedom, excellence, and accountability at America's colleges and universities. The Washington, DC-based Association recently released the 2019-2020 results of their What Will They Learn Survey®. ACTA launched the 2019-2020 edition of its annual What Will They Learn?® report with an accompanying new website. The Survey is a pioneering ranking of US colleges and universities that puts student success and learning at its center.
According to ACTA, "The search for the right college can be overwhelming. Unfortunately, most rankings don't tell you what matters most: what students are learning. This resource does tell you by grading colleges and universities in seven core areas of knowledge." The goal of the What Will They Learn?® project is to encourage colleges and universities to strengthen their general education programs—so that students graduate better prepared for the workforce, ready to participate in their communities as responsible citizens, and acquainted with our cultural and intellectual inheritance.

What Will They Learn?® evaluates over 1,100 general education programs every year so that prospective college students, parents, and high school guidance counselors know, in advance, which institutions offer rigorous general education programs. We grade institutions, "A" through "F," to make clear which schools need to do better for their students and to help college-bound students make informed choices.
