WGMeal.com is an initiative started by Rotarians in 2014 that thanks to its team members and digital marketing has reached more than 80 countries worldwide. "The passion to help end Polio, five years and a lot of hard work mingled with fun, travel and like-minded Rotarians have led us to this point, but still the project must continue until Polio is defeated"
–Rotarian Susanne Rea, Co-founder of WGMeal
Polio, a highly infectious disease, causes paralysis and is sometimes fatal. As there is no cure, the best protection is prevention. It has been proven that with the Polio vaccine, a child can be protected against this crippling disease for life. Polio could be the first human disease of the 21st century to be eradicated.
"It is an honor to be part of this great initiative that with the help of friendship, food, vaccines, and digital marketing, is helping to fulfill the promise made in 1985 by Rotary, to help save humanity from Polio. International fellowship to help others, this is what Rotary is all about."
–Rotarian Alex Casteleiro, Digital Marketing Director of WGMeal
Rotary members improve lives and bring positive, lasting change to communities around the world by promoting peace (https://www.rotary.org/en/learning-reference/about-rotary/peace-and-conflict-prevention-resolution), fighting disease (https://www.rotary.org/en/learning-reference/about-rotary/disease-prevention-and-treatment), providing clean water (https://www.rotary.org/en/our-causes/providing-...), supporting education (https://www.rotary.org/en/learning-reference/ab...), saving mothers and children (https://www.rotary.org/en/learning-reference/ab...), and growing local economies (https://www.rotary.org/en/learning-reference/ab...).
