Black owned business directory and resource platform Official Black Wall Street partnered with Snapchat awarding three prizes: The OBWS Entrepreneur of The Year, The OBWS Innovator of The Year, The OBWS Social Entrepreneur of The Year titles and a total of $30,000 to Black founders
NEW YORK - Californer -- The inaugural OBWS Black Entrepreneur of The Year Awards, presented by Snapchat ran during the month of August, in honor of Black Business Month. Starting with open nominations, fifteen finalists were chosen by a panel of judges including OBWS Founder Mandy Bowman, Brianne Garrett of Forbes, Imani Ellis of The CCNYC & CULTURECON, Courtney Blount of Snap Inc, and Serial Entrepreneur Everette Taylor. The winners were then voted for by the wider Official Black Wall Street community.

Dawn Dickson from PopCom. PopCom equips entrepreneurs and brands with future-ready retail solutions that allow rapid retail expansion, incredible customer experiences, and powerful sales data.

Krystal Banner from Kaleidadope. Kaleidadope is a woman-owned and operated business that specializes in stationery, self-published decks & designs inspired by color & culture.
The OBWS Black Social Entrepreneur of The Year $5,000
Pernell Cezar & Rod Johnson from BLK & Bold Specialty Beverages. BLK & Bold was created with a desire to make purpose popular and equip young people with tools to live their best lives by turning a daily ritual, enjoying a cup of coffee & tea, into giving back. BLK & Bold pledges 5% of its profits to initiatives sustaining youth programming, workforce development, and eradicating homelessness.
