LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Lanett Tachel's new movie "Angie's Cure" is now currently streaming on Tubi. Lanett is the writer along with Corey Grant, & Brian P. Kelsey. She is also the producer and lead actress in the film. Lanett partnered with Corey Grant who is the Director and produced it through their production company New Breed Entertainment.

Synopsis: Ten years after being raped at a party, a young woman seizes a rare opportunity to turn the tables on an attacker. But the sweet taste of revenge threatens to turn her into the very monster she's feared for all these years....

"Angie's Cure" stars Essence Atkins (Poppa's House), Denise Boutte (The Family Business), Jennifer Freeman (My Wife and Kids), Apryl Jones (Wrong Place, Wrong Time) & Vanessa Williams (New Jack City) . The movie will also have actors Sean Nelson, Duane Finley & De'Aundre Bonds from the cast of the late 90's hit movie "The Wood".

Lanett Tachel is a true multi-hyphenate. She's an Actress, Writer, and Producer (SAG/ W.G.A/p.g.a.) from Prince George's County Maryland, who's driven by her love of performing, creating, and producing roles that feature layered and multi faceted African American characters in front of and behind the camera. After landing the role of 'Dorothy' in the Wizard of Oz while in elementary, Lanett was clear on the career she wanted.

Lanett later earned a title role on the show and learned the valuable lesson of creating her own work. Following the series, Lanett went on to produce an award winning short, 'SISTER SISTER SISTER' followed by a series of narrative driven videos for a Universal Recording Artist. She then went on to co-write and Produce the Suspense/Thriller Feature-'ILLICIT' which released theatrically and on streaming platforms.

She co-created/wrote/produced the comedic single cam series, 'PUMP,' where she also stars alongside Ray J, Jennifer Freeman, Michael Jai White and more.

She then served as lead producer and writer on the Fox/Mar Vista thriller, TWISTED DATE, which was #1 on the Tubi platform. But Lanett is most excited for her film ANGIE'S CURE, (psychological thriller) where she serves as writer, producer, and the title character. "This film speaks to me like nothing I've ever been a part of."

Angie's Cure had its WORLD PREMIERE at the Dances With Films Festival on June, 27th 2023 and won the festival's coveted "GRAND JURY AWARD" for Best Feature Film. Lanett lives by the motto, "Don't Wait, Create" and can't wait for the world to see what she's setting up next.
