AlmaLinux Foundation Launches AlmaLinux 8.4 – Keeping in Lock Step with RHEL Updates

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The AlmaLinux OS Foundation, stewards of the AlmaLinux distribution -- the open source enterprise-grade replacement for CentOS, today announced availability of AlmaLinux OS 8.4 – just one week after the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.4.

"This is our second stable release, since the project was announced in December," said Jack Aboutboul, community manager of AlmaLinux. AlmaLinux can be downloaded from any of the more than 100 locations around the world, or images for use on cloud computing platforms including AWS and Docker are available on GitHub.
