HURST, Texas - Californer -- American Mensa and the Davidson Institute have announced a collaboration that expands access to Mensa membership opportunities for Davidson Young Scholars.
Through this collaboration, students participating in the Davidson Young Scholars program — approximately 5,000 youth ages 5–18 — will have streamlined access to American Mensa membership opportunities. Young Scholars already meet cognitive benchmarks exceeding Mensa's top 2% qualification standard.
As part of this collaboration, American Mensa will provide:
Promotion of the collaboration will occur in coordination with the Davidson Institute and will be shared directly with Davidson Young Scholars families through existing communications and collaboration resources.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that profoundly gifted youth have access not only to academic support but also to meaningful intellectual community and connection.
"This collaboration provides Young Scholars with valuable opportunities for intellectual community and connection, making it easier for families to access Mensa's lifelong learning programs," said Tamesha Logan, Executive Director of American Mensa.
"We are pleased to collaborate with Mensa to offer these membership benefits to our Young Scholars, supporting their exceptional development through expanded resources and networks," said Megan Cannella, Director of Outreach at the Davidson Institute.
The collaboration formally launched in early March and is designed as a continuing collaboration, including shared communications, programming touchpoints, and joint visibility efforts.
