The WTC is the joint congress of the American Society of Transplantation (AST), the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS), and The Transplantation Society (TTS). The event is being held in San Francisco from August 2-6, 2025.

The highlight of the announcement was the presentation of key clinical data from the pivotal Bridge to HOPE trial. This trial showcased the clinical and economic impact of hypothermic oxygenated perfusion (HOPE) in liver transplantation. The data was presented across multiple oral presentations, including a Plenary Session, and late-breaking abstracts.

One of the scheduled presentations at WTC 2025 is a Plenary Session titled "Hypothermic-Oxygenated and Normothermic Machine Perfusion: A Risk-Matched Post-Hoc Comparison of the Bridge to Hope Randomized Trial with Prospectively Collected Institutional Outcomes." This session will take place on Monday, August 4th at 10:30 AM PT. The presenter will be Chase J. Wehrle, MD from Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.

Another presentation that has generated excitement is by Marco Maria Pascale, MD from Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli in Rome, Italy.
