LOS ANGELES - Californer -- The California Equity Initiative (CalEquity) has partnered with Brew Lyfe Coffee Shop to support The Daily Bread, a free weekly lunch program providing consistent access to food for South Bay residents experiencing economic hardship and food insecurity. Hosted every Wednesday and Friday inside the South Bay Galleria Mall in Redondo Beach, The Daily Bread offers high-quality meals in an open, barrier-free environment where all community members are welcome.
Each week, the program serves approximately 50 individuals, including seniors, working families, youth, and unhoused neighbors. By maintaining a dependable source of food and community connection, Brew Lyfe and CalEquity are addressing inequities that continue to affect residents throughout the region.
This partnership reflects CalEquity's focus on strengthening community infrastructure and expanding access to essential resources for communities most impacted by inequity. By supporting a community-driven program like The Daily Bread, CalEquity continues its work to advance equity through practical, on-the-ground solutions that meet people where they are.
