The Governor's proclamation also highlights recent news regarding California's private sector job growth. It states that most of California's jobs are in the private sector, with over 1.7 million businesses accounting for nearly 87% of all jobs in the state.
Additionally, California has launched a revamped website, build.ca.gov, which showcases billions of dollars in infrastructure investments over the next decade and their impact on communities throughout the state. This includes transformative projects such as the Pivotal Delta Conveyance Project.
This project has recently reached a major milestone as water agencies serving more than half of California's population have voted in support of it. The Metropolitan Water District was among those who voted in favor of this project, which is crucial for securing California's water supply.
With these developments and initiatives underway, Governor Newsom continues to prioritize important issues such as mental health reform and infrastructure investments to benefit all Californians. The upcoming special elections will play a significant role in filling the vacancies in these districts and ensuring effective representation for their constituents.
