LOS ANGELES - Californer -- "Guadalupe" celebrates Mexico's beloved patron saint, Our Lady of Guadalupe, offering a fresh perspective on her symbolism and exploring the profound impact she has had on photographer Amanda Lopez's life. Far beyond its religious origins, this series is an homage to the divine feminine energy, sacredness, and healing that Guadalupe's imagery encapsulates for people of all genders and backgrounds.

Lopez's photos delve into the intricacies of womanhood, masculinity, and piety, posing the question: What does it mean to be divine? The series features portraits of family and friends who share Lopez's connection with Guadalupe, alongside images of apparitions discovered in public spaces. Additionally, Lopez reimagines Guadalupe in a contemporary context, creating a collection that is diverse yet unified in its purpose – to connect people.
