Former General Counsel/Managing Director at EMMES Joins CRE Law Firm
SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Continuing the growth of its partnership, Crosbie Gliner Schiffman Southard & Swanson LLP (CGS3), a Southern California-based commercial real estate law firm, announced today the addition of its newest partner, Alison Pappas. Previously the managing director and general counsel of The EMMES Group of Companies – a privately-owned, hands-on real estate investor-operator – Pappas joins CGS3's complex transactions practice group and will be based in the firm's Los Angeles office.
According to CGS3 founding partner Sean Southard, Pappas is a key addition to the growing CGS3 team and further evidence of the firm's commitment to attract best-in-class real estate lawyers. "Alison is an exceptionally talented attorney with years of expertise in completing complex leasing and purchase and sale transactions. She will add immediate value to our clients and expand our ability to deliver a client experience that is defined by completing transactions on time, on budget and with a best-in-class quality that is the hallmark of CGS3."

With over two decades of experience handling a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and financings, Pappas specializes in complex leasing of office, life science, retail and mixed-use projects. In her role with EMMES, Pappas supervised all legal and compliance functions and also led the company's leasing efforts for its national portfolio of office properties.
Prior to joining EMMES, she was general counsel of EVOQ Properties and practiced real estate law at Paul Hastings – representing clients on a broad range of real estate and corporate transactions
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles and earned her J.D. from the Loyola School of Law in Los Angeles.
