Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is gearing up for a night of '80s nostalgia with a free concert featuring POPGUN ReRun, the number one tribute band for the iconic decade. The event, hosted by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM), will take place on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024.
Mayor Rex Richardson expressed his excitement for the upcoming concert, stating that it is a great opportunity for families, friends and neighbors to come together and enjoy an evening of music and dancing. He encourages everyone to join in on the fun and create lasting memories at this family-friendly celebration.
The concert will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at El Dorado Park West (2760 Studebaker Rd.), where community members are invited to rock out to iconic hits and dance the night away to pop, rock, new wave and funk music. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and picnic dinners to enjoy on the lawn.

Fourth District Councilman Daryl Supernaw also expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting the Parks Department's efforts in providing free, family-friendly programs throughout the summer months. He is pleased to host yet another great concert in the heart of the community at El Dorado Park West.
