Internationally recognized Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician-Scientist Dr. Esteban González Burchard, M.D., M.P.H., was honored to speak at the National Medical Association's annual convention on August 5, 2024.

SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- The National Medical Association (NMA), the largest and oldest Black Physicians Society in the United States, hosted the event.

Dr. Burchard shared the stage with notable figures, including Reverend Al Sharpton and his longtime mentor and past NMA President, Dr. Michael Lenoir. The convention provided a platform to discuss pressing issues related to healthcare equity and eliminating health disparities among minority populations.
