The partnership brings eoFlix's independent film library into the connected TV ecosystem through Whale TV's global Smart TV platform
LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Entertainment Oxygen, the media technology company behind eoFlix and CineLot, today announced a strategic partnership with Whale TV to expand independent film distribution across Smart TV, connected TV (CTV), OTT, FAST, and ad-supported streaming platforms.
The partnership is designed to help independent filmmakers reach audiences beyond the festival circuit by bringing selected eoFlix titles into the living room through Whale TV's Smart TV operating system and Whale TV+ streaming platform.
Whale TV combines broadcast television, streaming apps, and connected devices into a unified viewing experience. Whale TV+ offers thousands of hours of free live and on-demand programming, while Whale TV's operating system features personalized content discovery, universal search, and AI-powered recommendations.
For independent filmmakers, the partnership creates a stronger path from festival exposure to long-term audience access. While many films receive recognition during festival screenings, they often struggle to maintain visibility after the event ends. eoFlix was created to help address that challenge by providing selected films with new opportunities for audience discovery, distribution, and monetization.

"Independent films deserve more than a single festival screening," said Apple TungFong, Founder and CEO of Entertainment Oxygen. "Our partnership with Whale TV helps bring these stories to audiences through connected TV platforms where people already watch content every day. This is about extending a film's life beyond the festival and creating more opportunities for filmmakers to be discovered."
Whale TV works with more than 400 TV brands worldwide and reaches over 46.5 million monthly active TVs. The platform focuses on making content discovery simpler and more personalized for viewers.
Through this partnership, eoFlix continues to expand its role as a streaming and distribution platform for independent films, helping filmmakers reach audiences across Smart TV, connected TV, OTT, FAST, and ad-supported streaming channels.
The partnership also supports Entertainment Oxygen's broader mission: building infrastructure for the independent film lifecycle—from festival submissions and screenings through CineLot to ongoing audience reach and distribution through eoFlix.
