TAIPEI, Aug. 26, 2025 ~ In a move to expand their reach and provide travelers with more options, EVA Air and Southwest Airlines Co. have announced a new interline agreement. This partnership will connect EVA Air passengers from four major cities in the United States - Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago - to destinations across the country through Southwest's extensive network.
The collaboration between these two airlines creates an integrated network across their participating gateway airports. This means that passengers can now book a single itinerary that includes flights operated by both carriers, with coordinated ticketing and through-checked baggage service to their final destination. Additionally, travelers will receive boarding passes for all segments of their journey at the first point of departure, making connections smoother and more efficient.
According to EVA Air America Head Office Executive Vice President Andrew Su, this partnership is a strategic move that positions the airline for long-term growth in an ever-evolving market. By combining resources with Southwest Airlines, they aim to streamline operations and connect with a broader range of travelers while responding quickly to changing market needs. Su also emphasized their commitment to providing personalized and flexible travel experiences for their passengers.
