SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- The City of Vallejo will celebrate one of its most legendary musical groups, ConFunkShun, with an official "ConFunkShun Day" on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The day's festivities will include an Honorary Street Designation Ceremony at Barbara Kondylis Waterfront Park (301 Mare Island Way, Vallejo) from 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon.

During the ceremony, ConFunkShun will be presented with the Key to the City and will unveil the newly designated "ConFunkShun St.-Honorary" The honorary street designation will span multiple intersections along Florida Street, including Mare Island Way, Solano Street, Sacramento Street, Alameda Street, Amador Street, and Tuolumne Street.

The celebration will honor the group's rich musical legacy, chart-topping hits, and lasting contributions to the Vallejo community. Known for their electrifying performances and timeless classics, ConFunkShun has earned a place in music history and in the hearts of fans around the world.
