The startup rebuilds how people follow the news - tracking real events instead of articles, scored for credibility and bias, with a daily audio digest delivering the full picture in under 7 minutes.
SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Most news apps give you more articles. FactsLane gives you something different: a structured understanding of what's actually happening in the world. Today, the company launches its fully rebuilt platform - and opens its pre-seed fundraising round.
The idea is simple. Instead of surfacing articles, FactsLane tracks events. Real stories, developing over time, pulled from multiple sources, scored for credibility, and stripped of clickbait and audience manipulation. Full picture, delivered in under seven minutes a day.
The Problem Everyone Feels
People spend 20 to 30 minutes daily just trying to figure out what's going on. Scrolling. Clicking. Getting outraged. Sometimes, walking away less informed than when they started.

That's not bad luck. It's by design. Most feeds are built to maximize time spent, not understanding gained.
FactsLane co-founder and CEO Andrey Chernyy sees it differently. "People don't need more news. They need a structured understanding. We changed the unit from articles to events. That changes everything."
How It Works
Every story on FactsLane is an event - not a headline. Articles from dozens of sources get clustered together. Each event is scored for credibility, bias, source transparency, and manipulation signals like clickbait and emotionally charged language. Users see what's real and what's noise.
Three experiences sit at the core of the app:
Pulse - live feed of what's breaking right now.
Newsfeed - a personalized stream of events, ranked by credibility and importance.
Digest - a daily audio summary of the previous day's biggest stories. Seven minutes. English, Spanish or Russian. Perfect for a commute or morning coffee.

The Team
Andrey Chernyy (Co-Founder & CEO) built the analytics team at StackAdapt from scratch - growing it from 5 to 40+ people as the company scaled past 1,200 employees. He joined as Director of Platform Optimization and grew into VP of Data & Analytics. He currently works at FirstPrinciples, contributing to an AI system designed to autonomously generate and test scientific theories.
Artem Kolesnikov (Co-Founder & CTO) has 25+ years building large-scale infrastructure systems. He designed and built everything that powers FactsLane - from event clustering to credibility scoring.
Pre-Seed Round Now Open
FactsLane is raising its pre-seed round. The goal: 1,000 paying users in 12 months. The milestone that proves the model works.
