LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Brand new Los Angeles based CHAMIE, the collaboration of husband and wife team Jes Marie and Joe Sobalo Jr, are hot out of the studio with their single, "Attitude". An electropop anthem featuring driving beats, funky synthesizers, and ultra confident female vocals, "Attitude" is a fresh new sound on the dance/pop music scene, and was released on all digital platforms on February 26, 2021. CHAMIE is versatile and can shift their vibe from everything from indie pop to tropical reggae with ease and confidence. Electronic beats, fuzz bass, and rhythmic guitars are the bedrock of their music, combining with unique, eclectic synths that provide the 'ear candy' CHAMIE is quickly becoming known for.
The Frederick, Maryland born and bred Jes has been writing music for years. As a songwriter and performer, she's had placements on Hallmark Channel, CBS, Disney, ABC, and worked with legendary artists including the Isley Brothers, Three Dog Night, and J. Geils. After being in a relationship for several years, her then-fiance Joe approached her and mentioned he had always wanted to write music with her. Hailing from Boston originally, Joe is a successful actor and stuntman in the movie industry, having had roles opposite Colin Farrell and John Malkovich in the movie "AVA," (Netflix), "Stumptown" (ABC), "For All Mankind" (Apple TV) and more. Joe, being a former DJ, always had a passion for music.

Jes was excited at the prospect of writing with her other half. Both share a love for electronic, dance, and pop music, and thus, CHAMIE was born. Since then, Jes and Joe got married in September of 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, and have been writing and recording in their home studio. Just like their namesake the chameleon, a creature that is colorful, beautiful, and vibrant, they want to let the world know that it is ok to be unique, different, and feel good about yourself. As a woman, Jes hopes to help young girls gain confidence in themselves and show them that they have so much to offer this world. Through the midst of all the hardship and tough times everyone has been going through, CHAMIE knows that now more than ever is the time to share their positive, uplifting songs.
