Los Angeles music veterans will debut their new sound on July 26 at The Lot at Formosa in West Hollywood
LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Three music veterans who spent decades helping shape global hits are stepping forward today with a sound that does not fit into an existing category. Thomas Van Musser, Rick Dixon (professionally known as R1ckOne), and Rawcel have joined together as BROSHIGEEZ. The Los Angeles-based collective is introducing World Hop, a new music movement built to connect cultures through hip-hop.
World Hop combines the storytelling and rhythm of hip-hop with musical traditions from around the world. The sound draws from global instruments, languages, cultures, and creative influences.
"World Hop recognizes that music has always traveled across borders," Van Musser said. "We are bringing those influences together through hip-hop. We want to create a space where different cultures can hear themselves represented while discovering something new."

The members of BROSHIGEEZ have spent much of their careers working behind the scenes. Their collective experience includes work with artists and producers associated with The Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am, Fergie, DJ Snake, Flo Rida, T.I., Swae Lee, Scott Storch, Tony Maserati, and Don Was.
Rawcel introduced Fergie to The Black Eyed Peas. Van Musser and R1ckOne also contributed to records that include "Hey Mama." After years of helping develop the sound of other artists, the trio is now introducing a musical movement of its own.
World Hop was created around a central idea. Music can connect people beyond language, geography, and cultural differences. The sound remains rooted in hip-hop. It also creates space for global rhythms, instruments, languages, and storytelling traditions.
BROSHIGEEZ believes the next evolution of music may not be another traditional genre. It may be a sound that brings different cultures together. The group is available for interviews about the creation of World Hop, the group's history, and its work with globally recognized artists.
