Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach has announced a partnership with the California Community Foundation to provide support for victims and evacuees of the recent wildfires in Los Angeles County. This collaboration was announced during Mayor Rex Richardson's 2025 State of the City Address, which will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m.

Mayor Richardson will use this platform to call upon the community to make charitable donations through the California Community Foundation's online platform or by texting LB2LA to 707070. "The Long Beach community stands with our neighbors across LA County affected by these devastating fires," said Mayor Richardson. "Our annual State of the City address will now serve as a benefit program to bring our community together and make a greater collective impact, ensuring no one faces this journey alone."

In addition to addressing the ongoing wildfire crisis, Mayor Richardson will also provide updates on key City priorities such as housing, infrastructure, and city services during his address. This year's theme, "Celebrating the Roots, Rhythm, and Community of Long Beach," will feature special reveals and live performances that showcase the cultural heartbeat of the city.
