LOS ANGELES - Californer -- "Now that I seen you, I gotta have it, can't stop this feeling, it's Automatic," sings Jes Marie on CHAMIE's newest single. Her sultry female vocals, paired with the song's throbbing bass line, driving rhythm, and unique synths, makes for a fresh new sound on the electropop/dance scene. To be released on all digital platforms on March 26th, 2021, "Automatic" is the latest single from this new Los Angeles based musical duo.
Jes and her husband, Joe Sobalo Jr, are the two halves of musical duo CHAMIE. The husband and wife team share a love for dance and electronic music, and began writing and recording music together only recently. Though Jes has been a songwriter for years, with placements on the Hallmark Channel, CBS, Disney Channel, ABC, and more, Joe approached her at the beginning of the pandemic and mentioned he had always wanted to write music with her. Hailing from Boston originally, Joe is a successful actor and stuntman in the movie industry, having had roles in the movie "AVA," (Netflix), "Stumptown" (ABC), "For All Mankind" (Apple TV) and more. Joe, being a former DJ, always had a passion for music.
