SANTA ROSA, Calif. - Californer -- From Friday, October 3 to Monday, October 6, Veterans Memorial Hall in Santa Rosa will be transformed into the North Bay's largest pop-up used book sale. During this four-day event, the all-volunteer Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries will offer 50,000 gently used books and media for purchase. Proceeds from past sales have made it possible for Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries to donate $100,000 to the new Roseland Library and to fund numerous projects at four Santa Rosa libraries within the Sonoma County Library system as well as the Sonoma County History and Genealogy Library.
"The 2025 Big Book Sale will be great fun for book lovers and bargain hunters," said Julia Freis, President of the Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries. She continued, "When buying books, our shoppers are also making an investment in our libraries and communities. We love being a part of that process."
Book lovers will find popular titles and hidden gems among 50 genres including fiction, mystery, romance, art, music, history, Californiana, cooking, biography, social sciences, health, science, travel, languages and more. Rounding out the assortment will be a special section highlighting banned or challenged books plus a wide selection of DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games, songbooks and journals.
