New planning intelligence turns complex engineering requests into execution plans spanning implementation, testing, security review, integration, and validation
SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Pervaziv AI today announced Cortex Planner 1.8, the ninth specialized model in the Cortex AI Model Ensemble, adding a dedicated planning layer to the Cortex Ensemble for more coordinated AI assisted software delivery.
Cortex Planner transforms a development request into a structured execution plan. It interprets the objective, available context, permitted actions, dependencies, and validation requirements, then organizes the work across analysis, implementation, testing, security review, integration, and verification.
The release follows Cortex Router 1.7, introduced as the eighth specialized model in the Ensemble. Router helps determine where work should go based on developer intent, task scope, and risk. Planner takes the next step by defining what needs to happen, in what order, and what must be validated before the work is considered complete.

"AI becomes materially more useful when it can do more than answer the next question," said Anoop Jaishankar, Founder and CEO of Pervaziv AI. "It has to understand the outcome, map the work required, respect dependencies and boundaries, and know what evidence proves the job is complete. Cortex Planner gives the Ensemble a plan before execution begins, so specialized intelligence can contribute with purpose and teams can see how the work is expected to reach a validated result."
Complex engineering work rarely consists of one action. A product change may involve discovery, implementation across multiple components, tests, documentation, security review, integration, and final validation. Cortex Planner can organize those activities into a visible progression, separating independent work where appropriate while preserving dependencies and checkpoints.
The planner is also designed around enterprise boundaries. When additional information is needed, discovery can occur before execution. When an action requires explicit human involvement, the plan can preserve a confirmation point instead of assuming authority to proceed. Acceptance criteria and validation can be incorporated from the beginning rather than treated as a final checkbox.

Cortex Planner expands the Cortex AI Model Ensemble, which now includes Cortex LLM, Cortex Privacy, Cortex Prompt Guard, Cortex Analysis, Cortex Safety, Cortex Code, Cortex Verify, Cortex Router, and Cortex Planner.
With the ninth model, Pervaziv AI is moving the Cortex Ensemble from specialized AI assistance toward coordinated, governed delivery. It gives engineering teams a more explicit view of how complex work should progress before execution begins. The goal is not simply faster code generation, but a clearer path from developer intent to implementation, review, validation, and a result teams can understand and trust.
