LOS ANGELES - Californer -- CALIBRE 50 kicks off the year celebrating their record breaking seventeen #1 hit songs on the Billboard Regional Mexican chart with the release of the compilation album "Las Numero 1 de Calibre 50."
The album features the ensemble's seventeen singles that topped the Billboard regional Mexican chart and is available on all digital platforms.
Calibre 50's lead singer and accordionist Eden Muñoz is also the author of more than 90% of Calibre 50's repertoire, including the vast majority of the songs on Las Numero 1 de Calibre 50. This past year, Muñoz became the composer with the most #1 hit songs in the history of the Billboard Regional Mexican chart.
After beginning their career 10 years ago, Calibre 50 is now regarded as one of the most important Regional Mexican ensembles of their time. "La Potencia Sinaloense Fuera de Serie" ("The Boundary-Defying, Sinaloan Powerhouse") is a nickname that the group has truly earned.
Despite the global pandemic, 2020 was a big year for Calibre 50. They led the Billboard Regional Mexican chart and won a Billboard Latino Award for the category "Hot Latin Song Artist of the Year duo or Group". They also took home two Lo Nuestro Awards for "Canción Norteña del Año Regional Mexicana" and "Grupo o Dúo del Año Regional Mexicano", and they were nominated for a Latin Grammy for the third consecutive year.

The rise of streaming has also helped Calibre 50 reach more fans than ever. They are now one of the artists/ensembles with the highest number of playlist cover photos on all digital platforms, and their songs have topped digital streaming charts.
2021 marks the beginning of a new era for Calibre 50, and they look forward to creating and sharing new music about love, heartbreak, life experiences and much more.
