San Diego, CA - June 25, 2024 - The San Diego 48 Hour Film Project is excited to announce its annual open auditions, taking place at the Terrace Garden Room at the Handlery Hotel in Mission Valley this Saturday, June 29, 2024. This is a prime opportunity for aspiring actors and filmmakers to showcase their talents and network with local industry professionals.
For Acting Talent:
We invite all acting talents to participate. Please bring headshots (if available) and your contact information. Prepare a one-minute monologue from a favorite play or movie script that highlights your abilities. All skill levels are encouraged to attend. Audition spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Casting directors should come prepared to take notes, make contacts, and provide feedback and direction relevant to the types of films they may create for the 48 Hour Film Project. For instance, if your team specializes in comedy, you may ask actors to perform their monologues in a comedic tone.
About the Competition:
The 48 Hour Film Project is the longest-running and most popular timed filmmaking competition, where amateur and professional teams from around the world create movies over a weekend. These films are then premiered in real cinemas. San Diego's competition is scheduled for July 12-14, 2024.
