~ The City of San Jose and the Municipal Employees' Federation (MEF) and International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) Local 21 have reached conceptual terms, postponing the union strike for 24 hours. The terms are set to be approved in a closed session of the City Council tomorrow. All City services, facilities and programs will remain open as scheduled on Tuesday, August 15th.
