| Background: | The community is welcomed at the San José Animal Care Center (ACS) to celebrate and find a new family member. In honor of Clear the Shelters, the event will include adoptions, family-friendly activities, resources and more. With special appearances by Mayor Matt Mahan, Sharkie, the Gold Rush Cheerleaders, and more! More on The Californer
Adoption fees on all animals are waived. Help the shelter reach their goal of getting 50 animals into furever homes. If you are unable to adopt, donations are always appreciated and will go to the shelter's Guardian Angel Fund, which provides medical attention to animals in need. Lastly, fostering a pet for as little as three days or as long as three months can help a shelter pet decompress and prepare for their furever home.
