LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Los Angeles Partner Rose Sorensen has been appointed to serve on the Board of Governors of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. The board represents a cross section of leaders from business, public agencies, nonprofits, and academia and is the principal governing body of the organization. The board's membership is diverse, with more than 160 corporate and small business leaders serving on the board.
"I am honored to be appointed to the Board of Governors," said Sorensen. "I look forward to the opportunity to work alongside the other Board members as we continue to support the mission and vision of the LA Chamber."
Sorensen is a partner in the firm's corporate and securities group whose practice includes mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, commercial finance, private placements, venture capital, corporate governance, telecommunications services, joint ventures, licensing, and entity structure and formation. She has extensive experience helping clients navigate through intricate business issues in a variety of industries. Sorensen has created and grown a thriving practice in a traditionally male-dominated industry, taking pride in her ability to accomplish the goals set even when she may be the only woman in the room. She recognizes the unique perspective she brings as a professional woman operating in the middle market and often utilizes it to promote and connect other women and professionals in M&A.
