BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Californer -- The Society of Voice Arts and Sciences celebrated their 10th Anniversary Annual Awards Gala in true Hollywood style at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Top voice talent from around the world as well as notable industry talent attended the sit-down dinner presentation that was truly a night to remember.

Highlights of the evening include Colman Domingo's presentation to EGOT Viola Davis with the Muhammad Ali Voice of Humanity Honor presented by Audible. Having both powerhouse actors together on the SOVAS stage was a memorable moment for everyone. And with the prestigious Muhammad Ali Honor under her belt, Ms. Davis is now a MEGOT! Just hours after the presentation, Domingo was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Rustin.

Eugenio Derbez gave a touching and heartfelt acceptance speech when he was presented with the Voice Arts Icon Award by wife and actress Alessandra Rosaldo and Raul Aldana. "I truly consider Voice Artists to be the most complete and talented actors of all, because they know how to give any kind of intention just with their voices. You guys are geniuses! That's why being honored with this award from this group of talented people, means the world to me."

Mabel Cezar was presented the Voice Arts Apex Award by Tisha Campbell. Cezar dubbed Campbell's character 'Janet' on "My Wife and Kids" in Brazilian Portuguese for many years. Mabel also dubbed Campbell's voice on the hit reality shows Outmatched and Uncoupled. Mabel called her family in Brazil (1:00 AM Brazil time) to share the wonderful moment.

SOVAS also accepted awards for Meryl Streep, Bono, Steven Weber and more.
